1、 Different definitions
Axial flow fan: Axial flow fan has a wide range of uses, which means that the airflow and blade axis direction are the same. For example, electric fans and air conditioning fans are fans that operate in an axial flow manner. It is called "axial flow" because gas flows parallel to the axis of the fan.
Axial flow fans are usually used in situations with high flow requirements and low pressure requirements. The axial fan is fixed in position and moves air. The axial flow fan mainly consists of a fan impeller and a casing. The structure is simple, but the data requirements are very high.
Jet fan: Jet fan is a special type of axial flow fan with open inlet and outlet. In this operating condition, the fan is designed to have the highest efficiency (operating point greater than a certain static pressure). The force exerted by a jet fan on the air, commonly known as thrust, is equal and opposite to the force exerted on the fan bracket.
2、 Different applications
Axial flow fan: can be used for ventilation or heat dissipation in metallurgical, chemical, light industry, food, medical equipment, mechanical equipment, civil buildings and other places. If the casing is removed, it can also be used as a free air fan, or longer exhaust ducts can be installed in series to increase the air pressure inside the ducts.
Jet fan: mainly used for longitudinal ventilation systems on highways, railways, and subways, providing full thrust; It can also be used in sensitive areas of semi horizontal ventilation systems or horizontal ventilation systems, such as tunnel entrances and exits, to induce induced airflow or smoke exhaust.
3、 Different functions
Axial flow fan: Small axial flow fan: Low power consumption, fast heat dissipation, low noise, energy-saving and environmental protection, etc. Due to its small size, it is widely used. Large axial flow fans have the characteristics of simple structure, stability and reliability, low noise, large air volume, and wide functional range.
Jet fan: The control parameters selected for jet fan include air volume, air pressure, noise, etc. Jet fans are mainly used for longitudinal ventilation systems in parking lots or other sports and commercial venues. Fans are usually hung on the top or sides of a room. They do not occupy building area and do not require the construction of additional air ducts. They have the characteristics of high efficiency, low noise, and stable operation, Easy maintenance and other characteristics.
